Play Ball!

As you can see, we had a gorgeous day for the Opening Ceremonies that kicked off our baseball season! It is the first time in many, many years that we haven't had nasty weather. We did almost have one glitch....the power went out all through town for about a 1/2 hour. My hubby was slightly panicking about that. No power meant no sound system, and worse yet, no snack stand! It came back on in time though. Praise God!

Here's my hubby (below) giving his Opening Day speech. He did great! I was quite impressed considering how much he dislikes having all eyes on him. (Of course, he is in sales for a living, so he has to be used to it by now!) I stayed close by in case he needed any help, but he didn't!

This is the first year that we've had t-ball teams in the league. Here they are waving their hats as they're being recognized during Eric's speech. A few of them are my current and former students. Throughout the entire organization, 550 kids are playing in our league this year! That's the highest number yet. Even if we didn't include the t-ball kids, the numbers are higher than last year.

Fun! We were thinking about putting Ella on a team. Thanks for your comments...the whole cloth diaper thing has been a big decision, but I'm excited to give it a go :)! Have a great weekend!
