This lovely flooring is in my laundry room. Pretty, isn't it? It makes me dizzy! My neighbor down the street had the exact same flooring in her downstair's bathroom. Apparently, at one time, the people who lived in my house were friends with the people who lived in her house and they decided to share the beauty!
Now our front door was okay until we got our dog five years ago. We had just painted the downstairs and things were looking nice, and then we brought Otto home. He is constantly at this door barking at anyone who walks down our street. We want to fix it but figure what's the point?
So now you've seen the embarrassing, ugly parts of my home. Guess what? It's your turn to share! Please go over to Mrs. Tracy's blog, Our Journey, to join us in this venture. Thank you Mrs. Tracy for using one of my ideas and for sending people over to my blog today!

Oh my that floor is um well unique;) Our back door looks like your front door. We used to have a lab mix and he scratched on it constantly and our Boston does it now too. So I am with you, what is the point in replacing it.
The laundry room flooring would make a very cool wall border in a Spanish-styled room....some terra-cotta, reddish-orangey walls...? My aunt has your kitchen flooring in her bathroom, and I know what you mean about it not cleaning. Who invented this stuff?
As for your third picture, this is why I tell my hubby that we are not going to get our floors refinished until the kids are in high school! What's the point, exactly!! Tee-hee!
You are brave, girl! Have a great weekend with your guys....
What a fun thing to participate in. We will be staying in Va for now until my husband gets his next job. (We believe that will lead us elsewhere.) Blessings sis! Love, Laurie
As I was showering this morning, I thought of some other areas of my home that aren't well loved by me... such has my kitchen counter and basement. I'll have to post on another day as to why these areas of my home have remained unchanged by us!
Hmmmm....i guess in the South, floors look drastically different....j/k....
I have a friend who had similar tile in her kitchen, until she updated and remodeled it.
My pics are even more embarassing than yours...come check them out.
I sort-of like that first floor ;o} But I agree, it is a little busy...
Thanks for playing along!
Wow you are brave. I will find three things in my home and post them on Monday's blog.
Thank for the inspiration and the bravery. It could be a whole lot worse.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Hey there...wow you are so right... those are some crazy flooring patterns. I have one in my kitchen that I hate as well, like I said over at our journey, with tracey. My husband and I were talking about it tonight...and I think it's the combo of the flooring and the cabinets... as we talked tonight we will be making big changes here over the summer... So I will post a picture for you to look at, and tell me what you think!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today... I'd love your visit anytime
