Pictures from Our Church Picnic

This afternoon, our church held it's picnic at the farm of one of the church families. They had oodles of miniature ponies and some regular horses too. We could just walk out into the pasture with the ponies and pet them. Several of them had babies. The kids got a kick out of picking grass and letting the ponies eat out of their hands.

Here's a mama and baby.

I was never one of those little girls who begged for a pony, but they are adorable! And they would keep our lawn mowed! That's not a convincing reason for my hubby though!

Here's one of the regular horses. It looks like a dalmatian!

The kids had fun playing badminton and horse shoes and wading in the creek. Our pastor suggested a wiffle ball game, but the adults were too hot! There was plenty of good food and fellowship for us. All in all, a fun day!

Beautiful ponies and horse. You are right. He looks just like a dalmation.
Sounds like a blessed day!

Wow--beautiful!! My daughter is horse-obsessed!! She even reads books about horses, has posters, and helped earn the money to attend horse camp. I'll show her these pictures tomorrow. :-)
