I have not been feeling very well this week and have been really tired, therefore, I haven't been too bloggy. Since I haven't been myself this week, I thought I'd better think about what I'm thankful for!
1. I'm thankful that my older son went to church with me on Sunday even though his younger brother got to stay home because he was sick. (And Dad stayed home with little brother.)
2. I'm thankful that our older son willingly did yard work this week with his dad. (No pouting or arguing!)
3. I'm thankful for the sweet Mother's Day card my younger son made for me. He did it all on his own without any prompting from his dad or teachers! He also vacuumed without being asked.
4. I'm thankful that my older son will be finishing middle school this year. (I think those are the worst years in school! However, son #2 will be starting there in the fall.)
5. And yes, I'm going to say it again....I'm thankful that my school year is almost done! Five days of teaching, one evening of graduation, and six days of inservice are all I have left. (No, I'm not counting the days!) Then I am off for the summer!!!! I've already declared to my family that Monday, June 1, is my official "Sit on My Tushy and Do Nothing Day". I'll get busy on June 2!
Thankful Thursday is sponsored by Sonya over at Truth 4 the Journey. Go on over and visit her blog!
May God bless you all with a beautiful day!

Hi Leslie,
I am glad you are almost done with school, too! Congrats. Also, sounds like you have a wonderful family and lots to be thankful for there! God bless, Laurie
When one is under the weather, it is hard to get our eyes lifted upward. You did a fantastic job! Grateful hearts begin at home.

to His glory...
great post!
Great things to be thankful for.
My official Sit on My Tushy and Do Nothing Day is June 5th:)
Yay! School is almost over! I, too, will be finishing up soon, next week, in fact! Hope you feel better soon.
I hope you are feeling a little better with each day; it's hard to feel down when summer is just about to kick in.
I have an impossible time being able to sit still--ask anyone in my family. It's just part of my nature to be doing something. Rest is a luxury, and though I make time for that in the day, a WHOLE DAY would probably make me bonkers. But, with two growing boys at home waiting to get into summer.... a whole day of doing nuttin' sounds pretty good.
Feel better!
Have a great time on your sit on your tushy day. LOL!
As the mom of a middle schooler, I feel your pain! Rejoicing with you that the school year is coming to a close!
Blessings - Lisa
i like learning asl as a hobby...i grew up with a friend whose parents, brother and sister were deaf/mute ... several of us learned to spell so we could talk with her mom...and my love of it grew over the years, got myself books and love learning new words and phrases.
hope you son is doing well
i wonder if i'll one day take formal classes and get certified...maybe :)
School being done is a blessing for everyone, isn't it? Thanks for sharing your list!
What a great list of thankfulness! Thank you for your sweet comments that you leave me.
